Vegepod's Primary School Sprouters program includes the many benefits of student and school community wellbeing, and is designed to facilitate children’s learning across many aspects of the curriculum by scaffolding their existing knowledge and skills (whilst they discover new ones) in developing and maintaining a shared garden space. The program consists of six lesson plans and seven growing guides to help educators and students design, develop and maintain a shared garden. The guides link to student learning through a range of skills such as research, communication and teamwork, problem-solving, ARTS, environmental stewardship and STEM learning. Gardening after all, is a science!
